I moved from Tucson in 2016 and joined the NPA family. This will be my 16th year teaching middle school social studies. I have a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies from the University of Arizona and I am currently working on a Master’s Degree with a Specialization in Teaching American History and Government from Ashland University. I’m also a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Social Studies-History Early Adolescence. I love teaching young students and look forward to the adventures each day will bring. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, Nathan, and two dogs, Bailey and Forrest. I also enjoy traveling as much as I can, scuba diving, reading, scrap-booking, and going to the lake.
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year and 8th grade American History. In this class you will be learning about our common heritage as Americans. I encourage parents/guardians and families to get involved as history affects us all. I plan to make this an exciting and challenging year for students. Your success in my class will depend on your effort, a positive attitude and abiding by the following syllabus.
