I moved from Tucson in 2016 and joined the NPA family. I’ve been teaching middle school social studies since 2003. I have a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Degree in Teaching American History and Government from Ashland University. I’m also a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Social Studies-History Early Adolescence. I love teaching young students and look forward to the adventures each day will bring. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, Nathan, and two dogs, Bailey and Forrest. I also enjoy traveling as much as I can, scuba diving, reading, scrap-booking, and going to the lake.

I encourage parents/guardians and families to get involved as history affects us all. This course will be challenging and is intended to foster growth and critical thinking. Your success in my class will depend on your effort, a positive attitude and abiding by the following syllabus.
