Summer Assignment for AP:

For your summer assignment you will read two passage from two opposing authors on the subject of Columbus in the New World.

Respond: What arguments are the two authors making? How do they differ? Argue a side yourself and use evidence. 1-2 pages 12pt. font using Times New Roman. Make sure you also bring in FIVE questions about the text you would want to discuss in class. You will need the response paper AND the five questions in order to participate in the discussion.

Read the first part of Chapter 1 of Howard Zinn’s “A People’s History of the United States” (Finish where it says, “That, being as blunt as I can, is my approach to the history of the United States. The reader may as well know that before going on.”)
