Description:

Chemistry is a challenging course that will teach students to combine their knowledge of math, science, reading, and writing to improve critical thinking skills.  This course emphasizes scientific thought and the process of problem solving. The knowledge gained will directly prepare them for either AP Chemistry or freshmen chemistry in college.


Students will need to bring the following on their first day of school:



  1. 3 ring binder (separators are not required but useful)

  2. Composition Lab Notebook (May use a previous lab notebook)

  3. Graphing Calculator

  4. One box of tissue

  5. Pencils

NPA 2019 Summer Assignment


 The purpose of this course is to provide a college level course to prepare you to seek credit and correct placement in your college chemistry courses.  We will be engaged in hands on lab work, lecture, and group learning activities. Emphasis is placed on depth of understanding, rather than breadth of topics.


Students will need to bring the following on their first day of school:



  1. Summer Assignment COMPLETED

  2. 3 ring binder (separators are not required but useful)

  3. Composition Lab Notebook (May use a previous lab notebook)

  4. Graphing Calculator

  5. One box of tissue

  6. Pencils
