Remote Learning Information for Parents and Students (3-26-20)

Posted on by
Good evening NPA Community,
Thank you for your flexibility during this challenging time.  I know that everyone wants answers on how to do school the NPA way online.  The truth of the matter is that we can’t.  We can only do our best to help our learners as a community, and each other get through this unprecedented time as best as possible.
Given the need to respond quickly to a fast-evolving situation, we accept that we do not have all the answers and will continue to relay information as we are updated and modify our educational response.
 NPA Families

  • Administrative communication to the NPA community will occur on the NPA webpage, email, or OneCall.
  • No students or their families on the NPA campus until further notice.
  • The NPA campus is closed through 4/13/2020. This is subject to change based on direction from the CDC or the governor.
  • All trips, rehearsals, practices, games, and performances cancelled until further notice through April 13.
  • Online schooling will begin on Monday, March 30.
  • Students and parents should check teacher webpages regularly for directions on how to proceed.  For classes that have always used platforms like Google Classroom, Planbook, Weebly Webpages, AP Classroom, etc., students should continue to monitor those sites for instruction.

Student Information

  • Stay Healthy.  Social distancing is a must to keep the virus from spreading. Even if you feel young, healthy and invincible, take real care not to expose others, who may not be as physically able.  Seriously, stay away from others. (Parents, we will not be assigning any projects that require face to face interaction.)
  • Social and Emotional Health.

Students, while these are certainly times of uncertainty and unchartered waters, we want you to know that we want to be there for you as best as possible—even from a distance… we may not have all the answers to your questions, as situations are changing and evolving daily, but we will do our best!
Should you have school-related questions, concerns, or just want to say hi, you can reach out to Mrs. Compain, via email during school hours (7:45am-3:45pm).
Please continue to practice kindness and self-care during these times and we hope to see you back on campus soon!!!
Counselors are still available remotely. Ccompain@northlandprep.org, tcallan@northlandprep.org, cperkins@northlandprep.org
