Re-Opening Plan (COVID-19)

2021-2022 School Year “To Be Announced”

2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
*NPA start date for students is Monday, August 17th, 2020.

Using guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, published May 19, 2020), state and county health officials, and parental/staff survey data, Northland Preparatory Academy has prepared a comprehensive plan to mitigate risk of exposure to COVID-19 in our schools. This contains detailed information about NPA’s safety protocols for the 2020–21 school year. For areas where the CDC has provided specific guidance for schools, we have included that guidance as a reference, for your convenience, so that you may see how NPA’s plans align with CDC recommendations.

To say we must be flexible in the face of Covid-19 challenges is an understatement. NPA would like to communicate a few considerations that influence our path forward. Your responses help us develop our hybrid model, 100% return to campus, and fully online instruction.

Ongoing surveys will be our method to confidently plan for a variety of scenarios. We respect that the longer we wait to make a declaration, the narrower all of our planning windows become. However if we have all of our models set-up for success, when we do make our final declaration for our first day back it will be the best choice in terms of safety and education quality. Please consider this survey as a data point and an opportunity for your direct feedback on our hybrid model.

As it is possible we will use each of these models at some point throughout the year, we must plan for all scenarios. We look forward to guidance from the state level so we can quickly communicate our definitive plans.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support of our efforts as we continue to move forward. If you have any other questions or feedback please feel free to contact us at (928) 214-8776.
